Working together with the Ministry of Tourism and Arts to rejuvenate the curio trade. A programme of training in new product development and improved retail management will help connect the traders to markets beyond Livingstone.

Support the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, the smallest of Zambia’s parks but the most visited given its proximity to Livingstone city. Includes guiding training, on the ground support in anti-poaching, educational programmes and more.

Providing everyone in the tourism value chain, with a simple, strong and cohesive message about our city. Relevant to restaurant owners, curio traders, taxi drivers as well as guides and front office staff in our hotels and lodges.

Working with the Council to enforce bye-laws to improve the appearance and quality of existing advertising signs and billboards as well as enforce bye-laws for their sites and maintenance.

Giving recent graduates a chance to develop their skills in tourism development, project management, fund raising and research. Each intern will be in charge of activities that will contribute to the transformation of Livingstone.

Working with the Dutch government in planning a new Visitor’s Information Centre at the Falls site. This will engage our visitors in better understanding of the geological formation of the gorges and the Falls, the flora and fauna, the human history, and the key people who brought the Falls to worldwide attention.
